Your local pharmacy can now directly prescribe medicine to patients who have a minor ailment and do not pay NHS prescription charges.

This will save your time and the GPs time.

You DO NOT need to make an appointment with your GP to get a prescription and you have a choice of pharmacies you can visit for advice and treatment.

Please ask at reception for a Minor Ailment Scheme Passport.

All too often A&E is being used by patients for conditions which could be treated by your GP. Please think first and try to avoid putting unnecessary pressure on A&E.

Only attend A&E if you need emergency attention for serious medical conditions such as severe chest pain, accident or trauma.

Alternatives include seeing your GP, calling the out of hours service NHS 111.  Calls are free from landlines and mobiles.

Urgent appointments are released every day at 8am. Please note that these slots are reserved only for urgent problems which need immediate attention, and should not be used for routine problems, for example repeat prescription, sick note, passport form  or medical  report.
